I was born in Nashville Tennessee and lived in Knoxville for seven years until moving back closer to home with my husband and two girls. I attended college at The University of South Carolina (Columbia) and Tusculum College - graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Marketing. Needing to make a change from the customer service/public relations industry where I spent over 12 years, Dawn approached me with a rewarding and challenging career in the wedding and event industry. Did I see myself being a wedding director? Heavens no! But I have learned so much through the years and I think my favorite moment in the wedding process is just before the Bride and her Father walk down the aisle and the emotional, private moment that you get to witness. I can only imagine that day for my girls and my husband Brady. In the spare time I do have, I run marathons and I enjoy reading. I especially love to laugh and I think that the connection of humor between Dawn and I was immediate and infectious! It certainly helps us in an industry that can be overwhelming and stressful at times. But with out a doubt, I am honored and consider myself blessed to be an integral part of a client’s wedding or event, and I look forward to making more incredible and memorable experiences!

I was raised in Franklin and I attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science Degree, Biochemistry & Cellular and Molecular Biology. I absolutely love being in my mid-twenties and living in Nashville! It is the perfect mix of small town manners and big city glamour. For a long time I was unsure of what I wanted to do in life, but I knew that I loved being out and meeting new people. I loved going to events and learning what all went into making the whole thing come together. After working with Dawn and the other ladies at Premier W.E.D., I was hooked with the “behind the scenes” of an event. My education is so scientific but my work as an event planner and director stirs all my creativity! I am also an assistant volleyball coach with a local high school. Volleyball has always been one of my favorite activities but I also enjoy, fashion, summers in Nashville, the beach, and traveling. Helping to bring the client’s vision to life is worth all the hard work and I am thrilled to help make each event become the perfect party.

When I threw my first surprise birthday party for a friend at age 18, I knew that I was hooked! Event planning and directing is exciting and I absolutely love it but it is only one of my many passions. At the core, I love being creative. It is what I do and what I enjoy the most. I have spent the majority of my career as a writer but I also enjoy art, stationery, interior design, fashion, photography, cooking and scrapbooking. Each activity allows me to experiment through a different creative outlet. My husband, Joe, of 4 years is an artist so I enjoy working with him on creative projects as well. I grew up in Tucson and moved to Phoenix to attend Arizona State University, where I graduated from with my BA in journalism. Upon graduation in 2000, I started working at a medical news and information publisher company where I am currently an Editor-in-Chief. I have also worked as a medical writer, and a medical conference event planner. After living in Phoenix for 11 years, I moved to Nashville with my husband in October 2007 when the company moved its headquarters. Working with Premier W.E.D. has been exciting and a cherished part of my experience here in Nashville. We love Nashville and its Southern charm. As self-proclaimed foodies and music lovers, my husband and I enjoy trying out new restaurants and listening to live music. Nashville is our new home and we look forward to spending many more years here!
